SLS is a program is for those schools in transition from conventional hand tracking of library books to computerized tracking.  If your school is not quite ready for the potentially expensive installation of a full network to handle your library, then this is the program for you. The database size is limited only by the disk space available. 

This shareware version includes functions to handle computer software and A/V materials.  For software the information tracked is: Title, Publisher, Version #, Format (IBM or MAC), Size (3.5, 5.25, CD-ROM), Master or Copy, Description, Teacher, Classroom, Grade, Card #, Copy #, Accession #, and five keywords.  Software can be searched by Title, Keyword, Publisher, or Teacher.  For A/V material the information tracked is: Title, Publisher, Format (e.g. Videotape, Audio tape), Length (in minutes), Description, Classroom, Teacher, Grade, Call #, Copy #, Accession #, and five keywords.  A/V material can be searched by Title, Publisher, Keyword, or Teacher.

Using the Administration function (password protected), books can be added, altered and  deleted.  Information tracked for each book is: Title, Author, Publisher Name and City, Copyright date, Length, Description, Copy #, Call #, ISBN #, Accession #, cost and five keywords. 

Using the Catalog function (no password required), books can be searched by Title, Author, ISBN # or Keyword.

NOTE: In the registered version, Circulation can be controlled and monitored.  Books loaned to students can be listed, overdue books detected, usage reported, and so on.  Any information entered using the shareware program can be utilized by the registered version.
